Fedoskino lacquer miniature
Fedoskino miniatures - the kind of traditional Russian lacquer miniature oil painting on papier-mache, formed at the end of the XVIII century in the suburban village of Fedoskino.
"Fedoskino lacquer miniature" oil painting executed in three or four layers - has consistently performed zamalevok (overall sketch of the composition), or a recipe peremalevka (more detailed study), glazing (modeling image transparent colors), and blikovka (end product of bright colors, reflections on the transmitting subjects). 
Fedoskino original technique is a "letter to the cross-cutting": on the surface before painting is applied reflective material - metal powder, gold leaf or potal or inserts are made of nacre. Shining through the transparent layers of paint lessirovochnyh, these pads give the image depth, awesome glow effect. In addition to miniature painting, products are decorated with "filigree" (ornament of tiny pieces of foil laid out the necessary form of raw lacquer), "tsirovkoy" (scratching the picture by using patterns of varnish, laid on top of the sheet metal on the surface of the product), "Scot" (a complex grid , applied liquid paints drawing pen with a ruler), etc.

The range of products factory was very diverse - caskets, caskets, varied in shape and size of boxes, covers, albums, caddy, ochechniki, purses, Easter eggs, etc. The last Lukutin - Nicholas, a prominent Moscow industrialist, art collector and philanthropist, supporting the production of Fedoskino do not bring him profit. In 1893 they built a new manor house, which housed shops and picturesque.
In 1904, two years after the death of NA Lukutin, the factory was closed. Part of the Masters went to work for VO Vishnyakova, who had a relatively large home studio in the village Ostashkovo ten kilometers from Fedoskino.
